About Our Caregivers

We’ve been blessed with receiving multiple awards for exceptional home care from top review sites. People ask us, “how are you doing this?” as if we have some secret formula.

Our “how” is no secret. We take care of our most valued resource—our caregivers and exceptional office support staff.

Aware’s “How”

Exceptional home care starts with exceptional caregivers. Aware Senior Care’s staff are professional, compassionate, skillful caregivers who share our passion for top-quality, client-centered home care. All of our caregivers bring a true love of serving others to each visit in your home. That’s the Aware Way.

What is the Aware Way?

All of our employees feel as we (Gina and Tim) do.  We believe everyone deserves to live a meaningful, purposeful life regardless of age, health, or disabilities. We believe home care should be exceptional, and at Aware Senior Care, our team of caregivers takes this approach with every client. We strive to make a difference in each client’s life through our care services and our supportive resource network.

Our caregivers share our core values:

  • Compassion
  • Professionalism
  • Family-centered approach
  • Integrity
  • Joy

Hiring Practices

To ensure we hire the finest people, we have an extensive interview process to determine if potential employees have the experience and qualities necessary to be an Aware Senior Care caregiver. Every caregiver must be dependable, warm, and caring. We carefully check personal and professional references. The potential caregiver then provides a valid driver's license, proof of vehicle insurance, their DMV record, submits to a drug test, and gives permission for an extensive state and national background check. We are bonded and insured.

Training

Along with the initial training to assure each caregiver can provide competent, compassionate care prior to being assigned to a client, Aware Senior Care offers two certification programs. Caregivers begin the Certified Companion Aide (CCA®) program during their initial training and complete this extensive course within their first three months. Our CCA certification is an exclusive designation indicating caregivers’ knowledge and status in the industry, and reflecting the highest standards of caregiver professionalism. We also offer the Certified Hospice Companion Aide (CHCA) program to further enhance caregivers’ knowledge base and assure the proper care is given to our clients receiving hospice service. Ongoing training guarantees Aware Senior Care caregivers remain among the best home care professionals in our community.

What our Caregivers Do

Aware Senior Care’s caregivers are care professionals. They are certified, trained, and qualified to meet the unique needs of seniors in the home. Every individual in our employ is carefully vetted, bonded, and insured. They can assist on an hourly or overnight basis, as well as on 24-hour and live-in schedules.
